MT Electrical Contractors was founded by qualified electrician Mick Tinsley in 2000. Since then, the company has established its credibility and earned a reputation for excellent service and professional delivery. The company is a firm of Chelmsford electricians in Essex, and works as an electrician and electrical contractor in and around Essex and London.
All MT Electricians are Joint Industry Board qualified, hold Health and Safety certificates and are fully insured. There is a confidence about all work undertaken which allows a guarantee to be placed on all jobs - a 12 month call back guarantee on parts and labour.

Team Bios
Dan Gardiner
Myself and Mick worked well together in a previous company but when Mick decided to build his own company, M T Electrical in 2000 I joined him on his journey. From an apprentice to now a contracts manager, I have never looked back and enjoyed watching the company grow.
Mick Tinsley
I was a young 15 year old apprentice with a small one man band company, I managed to get the job following the electrician visiting my family home to carry out some small remedial works, after watching the electrician, I became fixated with the job and never let a minute pass without asking a question “why” “how does that work” and Mr give me a job?. Due to my enthusiasm and eagerness to learn I was taken on and picked up the next morning by the electrician for my first day of work.
Following my apprenticeship I was lucky to work alongside Chelmsford Electrical, I was there for some 13 years, gaining invaluable experience, before my personal clientele built up to the point where I was working a 7 day week quite regularly.MT Electrical was then formed in 1999.
MT Electrical had a humble beginning, with the office based out of my home and my wife Nikki, along with my Sister Anita, handling my back office whilst I and my young apprentice Dan were out on the tools, carrying out both domestic and commercial works all over Essex. As time grew so did the size of the projects and the team.
MT Electrical, having grown over the years, now has 10 active fully qualified electricians, a Contracts Manager, an Operation Manager, and an Office Manager who work alongside my wife Nikki (Company Secretary) and me as Managing Director. Despite a period of economic decline, MT Electrical as a team, have pushed on and continued to expand, priding ourselves on our enthusiasm, knowledge and customer service.

Dave Hobrough – Contracts Manager
Dave Joined the team in 2014 after serving in the electrical industry for the past 26 years. Within his role as Contracts Manager Dave’s duties include Tendering & Managing future and current projects /clients and provide a friendly & seamless service.
Dave is a family man so spare time is sparse, but once Dave has the time he enjoys Badminton, fishing & golf.
